Evergreen Landcare has been part of Rotorua since the 1950s. Over the decades we’ve grown with the region, and our focus has stayed the same: looking after the land and helping the people who live and work here get the best from it.

Today we offer Rotorua homeowners, businesses and developers a full range of landscaping, planting and erosion control services, backed by the experience of a company that has helped shape the local landscape for generations.

Landscaping and Planting

Good landscaping is about more than looks. We build landscapes that work, with plantings that suit the site, support local ecosystems and hold up over time.

• Landscape planting: We choose and place plants to suit the site, with a design that looks good, improves the environment and is pleasant to be in.
• Revegetation planting: We bring native vegetation back to cleared or damaged land, which boosts biodiversity and builds landscapes that last.

Landscape Construction and Raingardens

For urban and commercial sites, our landscape construction and raingarden projects combine practical function with good design. Raingardens capture and filter stormwater, so they help manage water on site and add green space in built-up areas.

Our maintenance services keep these landscapes healthy after handover, which cuts down on intervention and ongoing costs.

• HydroSkin: Forms a protective layer that stabilises the soil surface and reduces water use.
• Hay mulching: Protects the soil, holds moisture and suppresses weeds.
• Soil Saver matting: Gives long-term soil stability while vegetation establishes.

We also provide hydroseeding, Hydrosoil, Bioblanket and grassing. Together these services stabilise sites quickly and protect them against erosion for the long term.
