Evergreen Landcare Pokeno

Evergreen Landcare has worked across the Auckland region for more than 12 years. In October 2022 we opened our base in Pokeno, bringing our full range of landscaping, planting and erosion control services to one of the fastest-growing communities in the Waikato.

Landscaping and Planting

For us, landscaping is about more than looks. We build landscapes that suit the site, support the local environment and stay healthy for years.

• Landscape planting: We choose and place every plant with purpose. The result looks good and also helps improve air quality, moderate temperatures and make spaces more pleasant to live and work in.
• Revegetation planting: We bring native vegetation back to cleared or disturbed land, which boosts biodiversity and builds landscapes that last.

Amenity Planting and Landscape Construction

We specialise in amenity planting and landscape construction for streets, parks and public spaces. These projects add greenery to built-up areas and make them more inviting for the community. Our construction work combines practical function with good design, so the spaces we build are made to last.

Raingardens and Maintenance

Raingardens capture and filter stormwater, helping manage water on site while adding green space. Once a project is complete, our maintenance services keep it healthy year after year, with less intervention and lower ongoing costs.

General Landscaping Services

We also offer a range of services suited to Pokeno’s environment:

• Native and ecological planting: Protects biodiversity and creates habitat that fits the local ecosystem.
• Mulching and weed matting: Suppresses weeds and holds moisture in the soil, so plants stay healthy for longer.
• Tree pits: Give street trees the right conditions to thrive and improve the look of our streetscapes.

Erosion Control

Evergreen was the first company in New Zealand to apply grass mulches hydraulically, and erosion control is still at the heart of what we do. With so much development underway around Pokeno, keeping soil stable and out of waterways matters more than ever:

• Hydromulching: Covers bare soil with a nutrient-rich mulch that speeds up seed germination and prevents erosion.
• HydroSkin: Forms a protective layer that stabilises the soil surface and reduces water use.
• Hay mulching: Protects the soil, holds moisture and suppresses weeds.
• Soil Saver matting: Gives long-term soil stability while vegetation establishes.

We also provide hydroseeding, Hydrosoil, Bioblanket and grassing. Together these services stabilise sites quickly and protect them against erosion for the long term.
